The Innovation Leadership Map

The Innovation Leadership Map (ILM) flicks a switch to illuminate the invisible behaviours, thoughts and feelings that influence innovation success. The key insight behind ILM is that innovation leadership is a dynamic practice driven by a leader’s mindset and behaviours.

Six dimensions pull apart and demystify the patterns of effective and ineffective innovation leadership. ILM shows that at any one time, a leader can be effective or ineffective at leading innovation. Even those highly celebrated as innovators.

The map is based on my research at INSEAD the global business school in France. The peer-reviewed work has been awarded a distinction, academically published and presented at multiple academic and professional conferences.
